What is iso 13406-2 norm?

ISO 13406-2 is a standard developed by The International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It defines the requirements and recommendations for visual display quality of electronic displays. It provides a classification system for the quality of displays made up of flat panel LCDs and plasma displays, which ranges from Class I (highest quality) to Class IV (lowest quality). The norm includes different parameters like the number of defective pixels, color issues, contrast, brightness, gray levels, and viewing angles. It helps manufacturers and consumers to have clear and uniform criteria for display quality as well as providing guidance on what to expect in terms of display quality for a given class.
